Shaken, Not Stirred: Relying on God Alone

Shaken, Not Stirred: Relying on God Alone

There’s a certain comfort that comes with having a plan. And for some of us, that comfort multiplies when we have a backup plan, and another one behind that. It gives us a sense of control, a feeling that no matter what happens, we’ve prepared ourselves for every outcome.

But what happens when God begins to remove those layers?

What happens when the very systems we relied on start to fall away?

When God Calls You to Depend Fully on Him

When you’re used to having backup plans, God calling you into complete reliance on Him can feel unsettling. It challenges your logic. It disrupts your sense of control. It exposes the difference between preparation and dependence.

And in that moment, you may feel shaken.

But here’s the truth:
You will not be stirred.

God is not removing your safety nets to harm you, He’s doing it to reveal that His hand has always been enough. What feels like instability is often God repositioning your trust from what you built to who He is.

The Test Behind the Uncertainty

What looks like uncertainty is rarely random. It is often a test of faith.

It’s God asking a deeper question:
“Do you trust Me beyond what you can control?”

Faith is easy when the plan is clear. Trust is simple when the outcome feels secure. But real faith is formed in moments where clarity is limited and control is removed.

When doors begin to close and paths begin to shift, it’s not always rejection, it’s redirection.

Seasons Change, But God Does Not

One of the hardest parts of growth is learning to accept change. Seasons will shift. Plans will evolve. Opportunities will come and go. What once felt stable may no longer be available.

But through it all, one thing remains constant:
God’s provision.

He does not fluctuate with your circumstances.
He does not change with your environment.
He does not withdraw when things become uncertain.

What He provides may look different from what you expected, but it will always be exactly what you need.

You Still Come Out on Top

Here’s the part that requires faith to hold onto:
You come out on top.

Not because everything goes according to your plan,
but because everything remains under His.

Even when it feels like pieces are falling apart, God is still working. Even when the path looks unfamiliar, He is still leading. Even when you feel shaken, your foundation remains secure.

Because your outcome is not determined by your preparation alone, it is secured by His promise.

Let Go and Trust Deeper

There comes a point where holding on too tightly to control becomes the very thing that limits your growth. God is not asking you to be careless, He is asking you to be surrendered.

Let go of the need to manage every detail.
Release the pressure to have every answer.
Trust Him beyond what you can see.

You may feel the shaking,
but you will not be moved.

Because when your foundation is in Him,
no amount of uncertainty can undo what He has already established.
