Exposing Your Aptitude(a natural ability to do something.)

Scripture: "A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men." – Proverbs 18:16 (NKJV)

Reflection

God has placed within each of us unique gifts, talents, and abilities designed to bring glory to Him and serve His kingdom. However, there are times when we may doubt our abilities, hide our talents, or feel unworthy of the calling God has placed on our lives. But rest assured—God will make you expose your aptitude. He will orchestrate moments where your gifts will be drawn out, refined, and used for His purpose.

Consider Moses, who doubted his ability to speak, yet God used him to lead a nation. Think about David, a shepherd boy whose skill with a sling was developed in isolation but later used to defeat Goliath. Even the disciples, ordinary men, were transformed into world-changers when they allowed God to shape and reveal their aptitudes.

How God Exposes Your Gifts

  1. Through Challenges and Trials – Sometimes, difficult circumstances push us to rely on the strengths we never knew we had. Joseph’s ability to interpret dreams became evident in prison, leading him to a position of power in Egypt.

  2. Through Divine Opportunities – God will open doors that require you to step forward in faith. Esther’s courage to speak before the king was a defining moment that saved her people.

  3. Through Spiritual Growth and Obedience – As we walk with God, He refines and reveals our gifts over time. Peter, who once denied Jesus, became a bold preacher through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Application

  • Ask God to reveal and refine the gifts He has placed within you.

  • Step out in faith when opportunities arise, trusting that God has equipped you.

  • Stay in prayer and seek God’s guidance as He prepares you for greater purpose.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts and talents You have placed within me. Help me to trust Your timing and recognize the opportunities You set before me. Give me the courage to step forward, knowing that You have equipped me for every good work. May my gifts be used for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Closing Thought

Your aptitude is not meant to remain hidden. In God’s perfect time, He will place you in situations where your gifts will shine. Stay faithful, trust the process, and watch how God uses you for His glory.
