When Life Turns in Your Favor
Life doesn’t always go the way we plan. I’ve had my share of struggles, doubts, and setbacks. But recently, something shifted. The tide turned, and life began working in my favor. When this happens, it’s not just a moment of relief—it’s a reminder of God’s faithfulness.
As I reflect on this season of blessing, I’m reminded of Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” This verse anchors me, reminding me that even in the hardest times, God has been working behind the scenes for my good.
Pausing to Give Thanks
The first thing I did when life turned around was to thank God. Gratitude is more than an act; it’s a posture of the heart. Psalm 9:1 says, “I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds.” Taking time to reflect on His goodness not only brings peace but also deepens my relationship with Him.
Revisiting My Purpose
In this season, I’ve found it essential to reassess my goals. When blessings come, they often point us back to our calling. Proverbs 16:9 reminds me, “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” I’ve realized that while my plans might change, God’s purpose for my life remains constant.
Building on Momentum
With the wind at my back, I feel empowered to step forward in faith. But I also hear the words of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This isn’t about relying on my own strength or ability; it’s about leaning on Him as I take bold steps toward the future He’s prepared for me.
Staying Humble and Generous
One thing I’ve learned is that when life turns in your favor, it’s not just for your benefit. In Genesis 12:2, God tells Abraham, “I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.” Blessings are meant to be shared. Whether it’s offering encouragement, resources, or simply my time, I want to ensure that the goodness I’ve received flows out to others.
Preparing for What’s Next
While I celebrate this season, I’m mindful that challenges will come again. But this time, I feel more equipped. James 1:2-3 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” I’m learning to see challenges not as setbacks but as opportunities for growth.
Savoring the Journey
Above all, I’m reminded to cherish these moments of favor. Ecclesiastes 3:13 reminds me, “That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.” Life isn’t just about reaching the destination; it’s about finding joy in the process and trusting God every step of the way.
A Prayer of Gratitude
As I walk through this season, my prayer is simple:
“Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for turning things around in my life and for being with me through every season. Help me to use these blessings to honor You and serve others. Guide me as I take the next steps, and remind me always to trust in Your perfect plan. Amen.”
