Stop playing with your power
Share
There is a difference between power that comes from ego and power that comes from God. One is fragile, dependent on applause, position, and perception. The other is rooted in purpose, sustained by obedience, and activated by faith. The problem isn’t that we lack power, it’s that we often misunderstand the kind we’ve been given.
Stop playing with your power
Not the kind that comes from titles or platforms, but the authority God placed in you through calling. The kind that doesn’t need validation because it was already authorized by Heaven. Too often, we underestimate what God has entrusted to us. We treat calling like a suggestion instead of an assignment. We approach purpose like it’s optional, something we’ll get to “when the time feels right,” instead of something we’re meant to walk in now.
But God doesn’t assign things casually.
If He trusted you with it, it’s because He already equipped you for it.
Your power isn’t for show, it’s for service.
It’s not for comfort, it’s for impact.
It’s not for delay, it’s for movement.
Real spiritual authority doesn’t exist to make you look important. It exists to make you effective. It’s not about building a stage; it’s about carrying responsibility, protecting your comfort zone, and advancing God’s purpose through your life, even when it stretches you, costs you, and requires faith before clarity.
Many people aren’t stuck because they’re weak. They’re stuck because they’re waiting.
Waiting to feel ready.
Waiting to be affirmed.
Waiting to be chosen.
Waiting to be “sure.”
Know that obedience was never meant to wait for perfect conditions. When you stop hesitating and start obeying, you’ll realize something sobering and freeing at the same time: you were never lacking strength, you were just waiting on permission you already had from God.
The calling didn’t come with a question mark. It came with an expectation.
God has already spoken. He has already placed purpose in you. He has already provided what you need for the next step, not necessarily for the whole journey, but for the step in front of you. And that’s how faith works: step by step, trust by trust, obedience by obedience.
So don’t shrink back.
Don’t downplay what God put in you.
Don’t treat divine assignments like optional side quests.
Stand up.
Step forward.
Walk in what He gave you.
Because the world doesn’t need a quieter version of you. It needs the obedient one. The submitted one. The one who finally stops playing with their power and starts walking in it.
